Wooden House Next to Topkapi Palace October 11, 1975, Istanbul

The wooden mansion with many windows leaning against the garden of Topkapı Palace, a stovepipe removed from the glass means that they still live in it. It is a structure that survived in the last quarter of the 20th century, but it seems that it did not extend into the 21st century, I guess so. Who knows who lived in it, who once experienced what happiness, unhappiness, pain, joy. The structures inside the Topkapı Palace were built from stone and marble to remain permanently in eternity, but the wooden structure leaning against the wall, in which people sit, unfortunately did not survive to the present day. An important difference and understanding. Wooden House Next to Topkapi Palace October 11, 1975

A magnificent abandoned wooden house. It has succumbed to time. Probably no more existing. The abundance of windows signifies openness to the world. The porch is also very ostentatious. There are no windows left. Wooden House Walled City Fatih
Terkedilmş görkemli bir ahşap ev. Zamana yenik düşmüş. Büyük ihtimalle artık yok. Pencerelerin çokluğu dünyaya açıklığa delalet. Sundurması da pek gösterişli. Ortada camlar kalmamış. Surlar civarında Ahşap Ev. Fatih

Enjoying the weekend in Istanbul in 1975

Enjoying the weekend at the tiny seaside house of a tradesman who works throughout the week, including Saturdays. He had been an imposing person who carried the burden of a family that started in Plovdiv, Bulgaria and immigrated to Istanbul at the age of 12. He was in love with his job, family and Beşiktaş football team, which he is a fan of. Happy smiling facial expression with gliding mustache. On the table is an imported Kent cigarette and a local matchbox. The coastal town of Kumburgaz, 50 km west of Istanbul. Ethernite roof, sun-dried towels. Reading the Newspaper.
Gazete okurken.

On the hill, the protective bastions of the castle hang on the plain, the carrier arch and columns of the antique. Curious eyes of tourists. The Seljuk empire arrived at the Aegean coast and gave its name to a town and castle. Like its shores, the Aegean has a rich and intricate past, layer upon layer. The wealth of a collective civilization. Underneath is Ephesus and on the ground is Selcuk. The union of eagles. Selcuk Basilica April 1975 Izmir Trip

Bazilika. Zamana meydan okuyan taşlar, mermerler. Sütunlar arası kemerler. Yerlerde kırık mermer sütunlar. Bir şaheserden geride kalanlar. Kararmış beyaz taşlar. Selçuk Bazilika Nisan 1975

With Artemis, Goddess of Fertility. In Selcuk museum. How come it was not stolen, it remained in her own ground. The fertility of the geography since the goddess Cybele, the deep beliefs of its people. Isn’t it much more meaningful than the New York Liberty statue? In the poet’s language, the land where “Mother Eve is yesterday’s child” is not with adjective New, but the oldest. Minds that contemplate the statue, hands that carve it; always Turkey geography. Ephesus Museum Artemis April 1975
Artemis Nisan 1975

Considered one of the most important figures of Christianity, St. John (St. Jean) is one of the 12 apostles of Jesus Christ. Also known as St. John’s, St. The basilica built on the tomb of John is one of the most important witnesses of the early Christian period. A 17-year-old Turkish teenager watches the future in front of the ruins of a 2000-year-old church. The rich treasures of the past will also illuminate the future. Selcuk Basilica Izmir April 1975
