Tea Talk Habit in Turkey

The tea habit in Turkey on TV programme.

It’s become borderline OCD.

It’s far superior than being seen with a Pepsi, Coke or Beer.

Though Turks do not have proverbs on tea and tea drinking as tea is later introduced drinking in Turkey, Turks are no1 tea drinkers and they have special glass tumblers and drinking styles. When it comes to tea drinking Turks look like Japanese with thir elegant stylish behaviours for drinking and eating.

Turks have developed philosophy with their language which is very rich and very traveller plus with tea drinking habits.

Tea is like air and water for Turks.

Quotes

  • Maybe tea was not born in these lands, maybe coffee took more place in our culinary history. Let it be. We loved the tea. Enough to call ourselves tea drinkers.
  • We wrote poems for it, scribbled on walls, always called it more than just a drink.
  • In short, we called ourselves tea drinkers.

So who is the real tea drinker?

  • If you can’t start the day without tea while others are talking about coffee
  • If you say “Breakfast is not with orange juice but with tea”
  • If you can’t come to your senses without drinking at least 5 cups of tea during the day
  • If the hot weather does not prevent you from drinking tea
  • If you burn the bottom of the tea as soon as you enter the house
  • You can tell if the tea is fresh by looking at its color.

Turkish Tea

  • If you’ve ever heard the phrase “Food fills the stomach, tea fills the soul”
  • Tea is not just a beverage for you…
  • Sipping with the people you love…
  • If it’s a reason for an indescribable conversation
  • If you forget your tiredness with a sip from your slim waist

  • If you’ve ever heard the whisper of tea being brewed on the stove at least once in your life
  • If you do not have very sympathetic feelings towards tea bags
  • If you think that a sip of tea on the ferry makes all the troubles go to the sea.
  • If you are looking for tea with you even while looking at the most beautiful view in the world

  • If poems with tea in them can brew life better
  • If you think that for a house to be a home, tea must be brewed in it.
  • “Is it time for tea, am I English?” if you can say
  • If you hold the people you drink tea with different from others
  • Loneliness is what you call “I’m brewing tea, will you drink it?” if you know up to the question

You are a true tea drinker

Third Roman Empire

With the conquest of Istanbul, two small Byzantine princes were recruited by the Ottomans. These two princes were members of the Paleologos dynasty, which would appear in the following years as Messiah Pasha and Has Murat Pasha. The fact that two Byzantine princes were recruited and made Ottoman is a concrete proof that Fatih conquered Istanbul and designed the Ottoman Empire as the Third Roman Empire.

There is no clear information about the identity of the fathers of Messiah Pasha and Has Murat Pasha. It is written that Constantine, the last Emperor of Byzantium, had children from his brother, but Constantine did not have children to be heirs behind his brothers. (Except for Thomas, who fled to Italy.) My personal research is that these two brothers were Constantine’s father, the Byzantine emperor II. It is that one of Manuel’s brothers has children. It is stated in the Historia Turchesca written by Giovanni Maria Angiolello that the father of these two is Gidos Paleologos. There is no other information that the fathers of Messiah Pasha and Has Murat Pasha were Gidos/Vitos/Vidos Paleologos.

But these two brothers are very important for the Paleologos dynasty, because if Byzantium had continued to exist after Constantine the 11th, one of these two brothers would probably have ascended the throne. That’s how important these two Byzantine princes were and they were both recruited. Messiah Pasha served as grand vizier in the following years. His elder brother, Murat Pasha, rose up to the Rumeli Governorate and was martyred in the Battle of Otlukbeli. Messiah Pasha started to build a mosque and a madrasah in Gallipoli, where he was as a sanjak principality or navy commander, and established a foundation belonging to them.

Messiah Pasha also converted the Myrelaion Church in Laleli into a mosque.

1. Ali bey,
2. Mahmud Çelebi,
3. Bali bey (Vulçıtrın sancak beyi).

Gerek Mesih Paşa, gerek Has Murat Paşa‘nın çocukları onların soylarını devam ettirmişlerdir.

Bizans’ın son İmparatoru Konstantin’in abisinin çocukları olduğu yazılır, lakin Konstantin’in abilerinin ardında varis olacak çocukları yoktur. (İtalya’ya kaçan Thomas hariç.) Şahsi araştırmalarım bu iki kardeşin Konstantin’in babası Bizans imparatoru II. Manuil’in kardeşlerinden birinin çocukları olduğu yönündedir.

Aslen bir Doğu Romalı(Bizanslı) olup, 1453’teki fetih sonrası abisiyle birlikte esir düşmelerini takiben, Fatih Sultan Mehmed tarafından Enderun’a alınıp, eğitilmesi sağlanarak, II. Bayezid döneminde Vezir-i Azam mevkisine kadar yükselmiş Osmanlı devlet adamıdır.

Has Murat Paşa, son Doğu Roma İmparatoru IX.’un oğullarındandır. Konstantinos’un ağabeyi ve İstanbul’un fethinden sonra sadece Müslüman olmakla kalmadı, aynı zamanda vezir oldu. Can Ceylan @canceylan73

It is an uninterrupted story of the evolution of Turkish art in parallel with the migration that started from the Asian steppes and continued to the west, Anatolia and the Balkans over the centuries.

This long story, which spans a wide geographical area and centuries, is often dealt with within the framework of geographical regions or different cultural-political traditions. Artistic Phases of Migration to the West, starting from the art traditions of prehistoric steppe societies, deals with the arts of Central Asia, Timurids and Seljuks as the continuous stages of the long migration to the west.

With the creations of steppe societies, settled societies, especially Chinawith the Indian and Persian styles of Timurid art; He paints a striking picture of the interaction of Anatolian-Turkish art with Middle Eastern traditions.

To read the story of how the same art tradition flourished with new forms and styles in each new geography, on the backdrop of social, economic and religious traditions unlike the previous one, accompanied by drawings, plans, maps and photographs…

Greater concept (countries, regions)

Greater Middle East

The Greater Middle East, is a political term, introduced in March 2004 in a paper by the Carnegie Endowment for International Peace as part of the U.S. administration’s preparatory work for the Group of Eight summit of June 2004, denoting a vaguely defined region called the “Arab world” together with Afghanistan, Iran, Israel, Turkey, and several other countries.

The paper presented a proposal for sweeping change in the way the West deals with the Middle East and North Africa. Previously, by Adam Garfinkle of the Foreign Policy Research Institute, the Greater Middle East had been defined as the MENA region together with Central Asia and the Caucasus.

Greater China

Greater China is an informal geographical area that shares commercial and cultural ties with the Han Chinese people, The notion of “Greater China” refers to the area that usually encompasses Mainland China, Hong Kong, Macau, and Taiwan in East Asia, places where the majority are culturally and ethnically Han Chinese.

Some analysts may also include places which have predominantly ethnic Chinese population such as Singapore. The term can be generalised to encompass “linkages among regional Chinese communities”.

Greater Turkey

I would like to share my thoughts on the concept of “Great Turkey” with you. The concept of “Great Turkey” was used for the first time in our country by one of the politicians, Süleyman Demirel. He also has a book titled “Great Turkey”. He always described Turkey as great. When we look at today, can we describe Turkey as great, this is a question mark. In the concept of “Great Turkey” that Süleyman Bey meant, he was talking about Turkey with a large industry, he was talking about a Turkey with a self-sufficient agriculture. In the pre-1980 period, the word industrialization was a key concept in Turkey’s agenda, and Turkey’s agriculture was self-sufficient. Can we see them today?

Also, in the 1990s, another great one began to be mentioned. But it was Clinton America that described it as great, and Greater China brought up the concept of “Greater China”. Now, by Greater China here, he meant the Chinese residing in that region of China, Hong Kong, Taiwan, Macao, and South East Asia in countries such as Indonesia, Malaysia, and the Philippines. We see this greatness as real today. China is now “Greater China”, “Greater China”.

After the Bush administration, which took over the United States in the 2000s, America abandoned this concept. This concept was only relevant with Clinton. Now China buys energy in yuan, abandons the US dollar, implements the silk road, then China is great.

When we look back at Turkey now, for Turkey to be great, it must be as inclusive as China. What is meant by inclusiveness, how will “Great Turkey” be filled? In other words, I am talking about being like China, being in an influential position in the world. What I can see here as “Great Turkey” is Asia, India, Iran, Turkistan, where it took place for thousands of years in countries where history has a legacy, then the Mughal Empire in India, the 3 continents where the Ottoman Empire is the legacy, Greater Asia, Africa, and Europe. The first state known as Turkey today, the State of Turkey, was established in Egypt. Great Turkey covers the borders of the Muslim world. It is not only the borders of the National Pact today, it covers the borders of all Muslim countries and countries where we have historical depth. My point of view is like this.
