In the past, there were also mobile lahmacun sellers in Istanbul. They no longer exist. The peddlers are now pushed to the outskirts of Istanbul. They stay in single rooms in old and derelict houses in Küçükpazar and Süleymaniye. Photographed peddler is also quite old. In a life spent alone, they are concerned about feeding themselves and living the day. They came from the villages. Still, they prefer their lives in crowded populations in the cities to the desperation and boredom in the villages. Mobile Lahmacun Seller. 18 January 1975 Saturday Near Police Houses Fatih.

Eskiden İstanbul’da seyyar lahmacun satıcıları da vardı. Artık yoklar. Seyyar satıcılar artık İstanbul’un kenar semtlerine itildiler. Küçükpazar ve Süleymaniye’deki eski ve metruk evlerde bekar odalarında kalmaktalar. Amcanın yaşı da epey var. Yalnız geçen bir hayatta karın doyurma, günü yaşama derdindeler. Köylerden kopup gelmişler. Yine de şehirlerde kalabalık nüfuslar içerisindeki yaşantılarını köylerdeki çaresizlik ve cansıkıcılığına tercih etmekteler.
