Maçka sanat galerisindeki Füreya Koral (1910-1997) seramik sergisini 3 Ekim 2023 tarihinde açılışında gezdim. Sanatçı duyarlılığının zaman içerisindeki keşiflerle dolu yolculuğunu adım adım izleme imkanı bulabildim. Bu keşiflerden en önemlisini Füreya hanım kendi cümleleriyle ortaya koymuşlar.
Fotoğraflarını çekebildiğim birkaç seramik eskizini de görebileceksiniz. Yaşam öyküsündeki kritik noktalar babasının Kurtuluş Savaşı’mızın önde gelen komutanlarından Mehmet Emin Koral olması, Atatürk’ün İstanbul Elmadağ’daki evlerini ziyarete gelişleri ve İstanbul’un işgali esnasında İngiliz işgal kuvvetlerinin eve el koyarak İngiliz komutanın malikanesi haline getirmeleri ilgimi çekti.
Füreya hanım başlangıçta batı kültüründen etkilenmenin ardından güney Amerika’nın Maya ve Aztek kültürlerinden ve nihayetinde kendi kültürümüzün renkliliğinden etkileniyor. Burada sanatın evrensel boyutunu da tüm yönlerden görebilmiş oluyoruz.

Evet seramik, dünyada onbinlerce kilometre yol kat eden Türklerin bu yollarda rastladıkları renkleri ve insanları sanatsal yönlerden ifade edebilmek açısından son derece münbit ve açılımlar sağlayan evrensel bir sanat dalı. Biz Türklerle de çok örtüşüyor. Bir dönem yapıların girişlerinde rastlanılan seramik sanat uygulamalarına yeniden başlanması temennisiyle.
