Ga’ symbolises Buddhi, that is, knowledge, while ‘Na’ symbolises Vijnana, that is, wisdom. As can be understood from this, Ganesha is the master and God of knowledge and wisdom, the Lord of beginnings and categories, the remover of obstacles, the protector of Dharma, the master of Karma and cosmic memory, wisdom, the God of good fortune, the famous Swastika sign is the sign of Ganesha, Ganesha is “Aum”. Being the lord of karma, Ganesha can control the events of one’s life, therefore Hindus can address all their special requests to Ganesha. God Ganesha is symbolically the Divinity waiting to be discovered within oneself.
